Experience an unforgettable 2-day journey exploring Cusco and Machu Picchu, two destinations filled with history, culture, and Inca heritage. The next day, travel by train through the breathtaking Andean landscapes to the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the modern wonders of the world. Day 1: Arrival in Cusco and Cusco City Tour
Inca Temples and Archaeological Sites : Airport Pickup and Hotel Transfer
Upon your arrival at Cusco airport, our team will welcome you and provide a transfer to your hotel. This first day is designed for acclimatization to the altitude and to begin discovering the history and culture of the ancient capital of the Inca Empire.
After a short rest, we will start the Cusco City Tour, visiting the most important historical and archaeological attractions of the city.
Cusco Main Square :Our first stop will be the historic Cusco Main Square (Huacaypata), the ancient ceremonial center of the Inca city. Our professional guide will share information about the historical events that shaped the transformation of Cusco during the Inca and colonial periods.
Cusco Cathedral : We will continue with a visit to the Cusco Cathedral, one of the most important religious monuments in the city. Built on ancient Inca foundations, it stands out for its colonial architecture, Baroque-Renaissance style, and valuable collection of paintings from the Cusco School of Art from the 16th and 17th centuries.
Qoricancha – Temple of the Sun : Next, we will visit the famous Qoricancha or Temple of the Sun, considered the most important religious center of the Inca Empire. Here you will admire the impressive Inca architecture, finely carved stone walls, and the combination of Andean traditions with Spanish influences.
Sacsayhuamán Archaeological Complex :We will head to Sacsayhuamán, one of the most impressive Inca constructions. This extraordinary complex is famous for its enormous stone blocks perfectly fitted together and its large zigzag-shaped walls.
This site was an important ceremonial center and is currently the main location for the traditional Inti Raymi or Festival of the Sun, celebrated every June 24th.
Q’enqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay
We will continue the tour visiting:
Q’enqo: An ancient Inca ceremonial center with underground passages and spaces used for religious rituals.
Puka Pukara: Known as the Red Fortress, it was a strategic control and surveillance point on the route towards Antisuyo (the Amazon region).
Tambomachay: An important ceremonial site related to water worship, featuring an advanced hydraulic system built by the Incas.
At the end of the Cusco City Tour, we will return to the city.

Day 2: Machu Picchu Tour | Visit to the Modern World Wonder
Transfer to the Train Station
Very early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the train station. The schedule will depend on your reserved entry time to Machu Picchu.
From Cusco, we will travel towards Ollantaytambo, enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the Sacred Valley of the Incas along the way.
Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes Train Journey :We will board the tourist train towards Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town). During the journey, you will enjoy spectacular Andean landscapes, mountains, and rivers that form part of the route to the Inca citadel.
Bus to Machu Picchu :Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, we will take the tourist bus to the entrance of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, where our guide will be waiting to begin the visit.
Guided Tour of Machu Picchu :We will enjoy an approximately 2-hour guided tour through the ancient Inca citadel, discovering iconic places such as:
- Temple of the Sun
- Intihuatana (Inca solar clock)
- Temple of the Three Windows
- Sacred Rock
- Temple of the Condor
Our guide will explain the history, architecture, and significance of this incredible masterpiece built by the Incas among the mountains.
Free Time and Return to Cusco : After the tour, you will have free time to enjoy the views, take photographs, and explore the town of Aguas Calientes.
In the afternoon, we will board the return train to Ollantaytambo, where our private transportation will take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
